Victoria Yakusha’s TOPTUN collection, named after the Ukrainian word for “one who loudly stomps,” is a vivid expression of her design philosophy, "live minimalism." At its heart, the collection embodies animism—a belief that objects hold a spirit of their own, seamlessly connecting the physical with the emotional.
Inspired by her young children learning to walk and stomping noisily across the floor, Yakusha translated these playful, life-filled moments into a furniture collection brimming with vitality. Each piece in TOPTUN adopts the concept of “soft geometry,” with primitive shapes and strongly defined outlines that evoke a sense of raw simplicity.
Its hallmark is its distinctive chunky legs, which imbue the furniture with a creature-like presence, making it feel as though it has come to life. These legs give the collection a sculptural quality, allowing it to serve as a bold centerpiece in any interior.
