Victoria Yakusha Gallery Opens in Miami : A new space for collectible design and interiors
Victoria Yakusha has opened her first dedicated space in Miami, combining a collectible design gallery and an interior studio within a 1,100-square-foot venue.
Located at 4200 NW 2nd Ave in Miami, the space was officially introduced on February with a private opening event attended by architects, designers, collectors, and members of the local creative community.
The evening began with a conversation between Victoria Yakusha and curator Salomé Gómez-Upegui, focusing on materiality, place, and the relationship between European design sensibility and Miami’s cultural and spatial context. The event marked the opening of the gallery as both a physical destination and a platform for dialogue.
Rather than functioning as a conventional showroom, the space is conceived as an immersive interior environment that reflects Yakusha’s design philosophy of live minimalism. The approach emphasizes curatorial precision, material contrast, and the selection of objects that contribute to an overall spatial atmosphere.
The gallery brings together multiple facets of Yakusha’s practice. Through YAKUSHA Studio, the designer develops residential and hospitality interiors, while her brand FAINA produces handcrafted furniture, lighting, and art objects rooted in natural materials and heritage. The Miami space serves as a platform where these disciplines intersect alongside curated collectible design pieces.
Material contrast plays a central role in the interior concept. Hand-textured natural surfaces are combined with polished metal shelving systems, establishing a dialogue between warm and refined elements. This contrast is used to create visual tension while maintaining a cohesive spatial composition.
Soft, sun-responsive tones were selected to align with Miami’s climate, while large glazed openings introduce natural light as a primary architectural element. Targeted lighting further emphasizes volume and highlights the sculptural qualities of individual works on display.
Clay, imported from Ukraine, is used extensively throughout the space across furniture, lighting, and decorative objects. The material introduces tactility and visual depth, counterbalancing the precision of the metal elements and reinforcing the studio’s material-driven approach.
At the center of the gallery, a plant installation adds an interactive component. Visitors are invited to pick leaves for tea, introducing a functional layer and reinforcing the connection between the space and natural processes.
The Victoria Yakusha Space functions both as a destination for collectible design and as a point of entry for private clients seeking interior projects developed by YAKUSHA Studio.
